We don&#x2019;t charge any cancellation fees for standard items.</p></li><li data-start="603" data-end="795"><p data-start="605" data-end="795"><strong data-start="605" data-end="625">Custom Products:</strong><br data-start="625" data-end="628">Custom items, such as house signs and decals, <strong data-start="676" data-end="728">cannot be cancelled once production has started.</strong> These products are made specifically for you and cannot be resold.</p></li></ul><p data-start="797" data-end="963">Once your order is shipped, cancellation isn&#x2019;t possible. If you suspect something may be amiss, rest assured &#x2014; we offer strong warranties to ensure you enjoy your Dagood products for years to come.</p><ul><li>Letterboxes &#x2014; 5 year structural</li><li>Stainless Steel Address Sign Plaque &#x2014; 5 year structural</li><li>Acrylic Address Sign Plaque &#x2014; 3 year structural</li><li>Decal Stickers &#x2014; 3 year structural</li><li>PVC Fencing &#x2014; 30 year structural</li></ul><hr><h3 id="what-does-structural-warranty-mean">What does structural warranty mean?</h3><p>A structural warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship that affect the integrity and normal use of the product within the stated period, under normal conditions.</p><p>It does not cover misuse, accidents, alterations, or damage from extraordinary natural events.</p><hr><h3 id="coastal--salt-air-environments">Coastal &amp; Salt-Air Environments</h3><p>Dagood letterboxes are designed for everyday Australian conditions. They are made from galvanised steel and protected with a durable powder coat finish.&#xA0;However, coastal and marine environments accelerate corrosion due to high salt content in the air.</p><p>For this reason, our standard warranty does not extend to rust, corrosion, or tea-staining where the product is installed in a coastal exposure zone (generally within 3&#xA0;km of breaking surf, tidal waters, canals, or exposed coastline). This distance is a guide only &#x2014; exposure can extend further inland under prevailing winds and local geography, and warranty assessments will take these factors into account.</p><p><strong>Recommendation:</strong> If you live in a coastal environment, we strongly recommend choosing our 316 stainless steel options for maximum corrosion resistance and long-term performance. While 316 stainless steel offers the best durability in marine conditions, it can still develop&#xA0;<em>tea-staining</em> (a brown discolouration on the surface) if not maintained. Tea-staining does not affect the structural integrity of the product and is considered cosmetic, so it is not covered under warranty.</p><p>Outside this coastal exposure zone, our structural warranty will cover any rusting issues occurring naturally, not due to damages or alterations, provided the product has been properly maintained. For clarity,&#xA0;<em>structural rust</em> means corrosion that compromises normal function (e.g. panel perforation, or hinges/locks seized due to corrosion).</p><h4 id="maintenance-required-to-keep-coverage">Maintenance required to keep coverage</h4><ul><li>Rinse with fresh water at least twice per year (or more frequently in exposed environments) to remove salt deposits and pollutants.</li><li>Clean only with fresh water and a soft cloth &#x2014; abrasive products or harsh chemicals may damage coatings and void the warranty.</li><li>Promptly repair any scratches or chips in the protective coating.</li><li>Avoid alterations such as drilling holes that expose bare metal.</li></ul><hr><h3 id="what-is-not-covered-by-this-warranty">What is not covered by this warranty</h3><ul><li>Accidental damage, collision or impact.</li><li>Misuse, neglect, or incorrect installation.</li><li>Alterations or modifications (e.g. drilling, cutting, welding).</li><li>Surface rust resulting from scratches, chips, alterations, or other damage that exposes bare metal.</li><li>Any damage caused by severe weather events such as cyclones, floods, hailstorms, bushfires, or other extraordinary natural events beyond normal conditions.</li><li>Rust or corrosion arising from coastal salt exposure within the coastal exposure zone (generally within 3&#xA0;km of surf/tidal waters/canals) where standard materials are used.</li></ul><hr><h3 id="need-to-initiate-a-warranty-claim">Need to initiate a warranty claim?</h3><p>Contact us at&#xA0;<a href="mailto:support@dagood.com.au" style=" text-decoration: underline;">support@dagood.com.au</a> to start the warranty process. Please include the product details, a description of the issue, proof of purchase, and clear photos so we can assist promptly.</p><p>Once received, our Customer Service and Quality Control teams will review your case. You can expect a call from one of our friendly staff within 3 business days to discuss next steps.</p><p>Where a defect is confirmed, Dagood may repair or replace the defective component only. Labour, removal and re-installation costs are not covered, to the extent permitted by law.</p><hr><h3 id="guarantees-for-consumers">Guarantees for Consumers</h3><p>Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.</p>
